SoftwareSkillHub exists because small business owners shouldn’t have to guess which software is worth their money. I test marketing tools — email platforms, funnel builders, CRMs, course hosting — and publish reviews that tell you what actually works, what doesn’t, and what you should skip entirely.
Who Runs This Site
I’m Ajay Mishra, and I built SoftwareSkillHub after wasting too much money on software that looked great in the sales video but fell apart in real use.
I spent 6 Years running e-commerce and coaching business before I realized that most software reviews online are written by people who never opened the product. They copy features from the pricing page, slap on a star rating, and call it a day.
I don’t do that. Every tool on this site has been tested by me personally for a minimum of 14 days. I build actual funnels, send actual emails, upload actual courses. I take screenshots of the real interface — not the marketing renders from the homepage. I note the bugs, the slow load times, the features that exist but don’t work as advertised.
I also track what happens after the free trial. Do customers actually stick around? Do they upgrade? Do they churn in month three? That data shapes every review.
My Testing Process
Phase 1: Sign up and build I create a real account using the free trial or free plan. I build a functional project — a sales funnel, an email sequence, a mini-course — using only the features available at that tier. No workarounds, no paid upgrades unless the review specifically covers them.
Phase 2: Daily use for 14–30 days I use the tool as a real user would. I check load speeds on mobile. I test customer support response times. I try to break things. I note every friction point.
Phase 3: Compare and score I benchmark the tool against 2–3 direct competitors using the same project. Same funnel type, same email volume, same course structure. This keeps comparisons fair.
Phase 4: Publish and update Reviews are dated and updated when the software changes significantly. I don’t delete old reviews — I update them with a changelog so you can see how the tool has evolved.
Why I Use Affiliate Links
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy a paid plan, I earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
Here’s what that does and doesn’t mean:
• I only review tools I’ve personally tested. No exceptions. • I don’t accept payment from software companies to write reviews. No sponsored posts, no “partner content,” no pay-to-play. • My ratings and opinions are mine alone. If a tool is bad, I say so — even if it costs me a commission. • I disclose affiliate relationships clearly on every review page and in this About section.
If you want to support the site without using affiliate links, you can share a review with someone who needs it. That’s just as valuable to me.
